Letter from the Principal

Fall 2011

I continually marvel at how blessed the Nazareth Academy High School community and ultimately our girls are with every passing year. Our recent graduates, the Class of 2011, surpassed their predecessors with a whopping $24 million in scholarships and grants to institutions of higher education.

As if that were not amazing enough, the 2011 Advanced Placement Test scores were off the charts this year. Our Advanced Placement Program is a very special part of our academic program at Nazareth, as these engaging and rigorous courses with collegiate-level curriculum truly help prepare our young women for great things beyond high school. An exam score of a 3, 4, or 5 is generally accepted by most universities and colleges nationwide as course credit. Out of the 175 Nazareth scholars who took the AP Calculus test, the average score waas 4.667!

Nazareth Academy High School provides the complete high school experience for every young lady from the one-on-one approach of our counselors to our hallmark excellent academic standards to the bonds of friendship and family formed within our halls. Our service program, which is the personification of Nazareth, is about to be enhanced by inclusion in the Jefferson Program. This joint effort with Father Judge High School can only serve to make our Pandas more committed to those in need. As you can see, the Nazareth experience paves the way for these girls' ultimate goal of graduation and embarking into the next chapeter of their life's journey, college.

I am always so proud of our Nazareth family and all of its achievements. I welcome you and your families to visit and see our "Panda Pride" for yourselves on Sunday, September 25th for our Annual Open House. Our building has undergone extensive renovations over this past summer, providing better than ever facilities for our students to learn, grow, and reach their full potential with God's grace and assistance. I look forward to meeting all our new families and welcome them with open arms.

God Bless!
