Letter from the Principal

Fall 2014

The 2014-2015 school year promises to be an exciting one filled with many opportunities. With the inclusion of our Advanced Placement Art History Program, we will now have 12 AP courses in place.

The Chemistry Lab has had a real Makeover this year this Summer. The students had barely left the building in June when the plumbers, carpenters, electricians, and other professionals set to work. The many weeks of work have paid off. Our budding chemists will enter a gleaming professional lab. A gift from Mr. and Mrs. Karl Krass. parents of Kyra Class of 2010, is a highlight of the new lab. The spectrometer donated in 2012 enables the students to study the relationship between color absorption and transmittance at a particular wavelength. They have also used it to determine the concentration of certain colored liquids. It also teaches them about precision when preparing various solutions.

Our newest sport – Volleyball- is the latest in our Fall Athletic Lineup. The new flooring in the Gym as well as the arrival of our outdoor scoreboard are highlights of a great season to come for the Pandas.

Many of our students had great summer experiences from workshopping at Penn’s Veterinary Clinic to taking College level courses, to coaching and playing in summer leagues, to waiting tables in restaurants, to joining Church groups in aiding families in their immediate needs, to spending a week with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in the CREW Program at Nazareth Hospital Convent.

All of these activities point to the diversity of our students. Their purpose is always Christ-centered; to look out for the needs of others and to help as able while enjoying the Nazareth experience.

I would like to invite you and your family to participate in that Nazareth experience on Sunday, September 30th for our Annual Open House. Our students, faculty, and staff will be more than happy to share their Nazareth adventure with you.

I look forward to meeting you on September 30th. Come and see for yourself the greatness of the Nazareth experience, one that is imbued with faith, family, and education.

God Bless!
