How to Apply

In the fall of eighth grade, Nazareth Academy High School welcomes 8th grade students to officially begin the admissions process. Applicants must first register for the 8th Grade Entrance/Scholarship Examination, which will be held at Nazareth Academy High School on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM.

Nazareth Academy High School assumes a holistic approach to its admissions process. For this reason, applicants will need to provide the Admissions Committee with additional academic records including 6th, 7th, 8th grade report cards, official grade school transcripts, attendance records, disciplinary records, copies of standardized test scores, and a letter of recommendation.

To request copies of academic records, please complete the Transcript Release Form(.pdf) and submit it to your daughter’s present school. The school will then forward copies of your daughter’s transcripts, attendance records, disciplinary records, and copies of her standardized test scores to Nazareth Academy High School.

In addition to the academic records submitted by your daughter’s present school, the Admissions Committee will need copies of her 6th and 7th grade report cards. Please note that your daughter’s present school will not send copies of these report cards – the school will only send a copy of her transcript. It is the applicant’s responsibility to make copies of the requested report cards and mail them directly to Nazareth Academy High School – Admissions Office. In addition, when your daughter receives her first 8th grade report card later in the school year, please send a copy of it to the Admissions Office.

In order to obtain a letter of recommendation, applicants should forward the Recommendation Form(.pdf) to a Principal, Guidance Counselor, or 6th, 7th, or 8th grade teacher. The evaluator will then complete the recommendation and mail it directly to Nazareth Academy High School.

Please note that all academic records must be received by Monday, October 27, 2008 in order for applicants to be considered for admission.

After the Admissions Committee reviews all entrance test scores and academic records, qualified applicants will be granted a personal interview. Nazareth Academy High School expects the interview to be the final phase in the admissions process. After completion of a successful interview, qualified students will be notified of their acceptance. It is important to note that the Admissions Committee will not review incomplete files nor grant interviews to applicants with incomplete files.
