Transfer Students

Traditionally, Nazareth Academy High School has accepted transfer students for only the 10th and 11th grade. However, in this rapidly changing high school landscape, NAHS will make an exception for the exceptional provided that there is sufficient class space and the transfer student meets all academic and admissions criteria. Students interested in starting a transfer file should:

Contact the Admissions Office with the following information – contact information for a parent/guardian; student’s name; student’s current school; and student’s current grade.

Additionally, please forward the following documents to the Admissions Office:

• Report cards for the past two school years, as well as the most recent report card of the current year.

• Standardized test scores (e.g. TerraNova/PSSA) for the past two school years, as well as the score from the current year.

• A Letter of Recommendation (.pdf) from a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal which can be downloaded here.

• A completed Transfer Application (.pdf) which can be found here.

Upon receipt of the above information, the Admissions Committee will evaluate the student and based on the evaluation, a student would then be invited to interview (along with a parent/guardian). Students will be considered for acceptance once a completed file and application have been received in the Admissions Office. Interviews will be offered only when the academic file is complete.

Transfer Student Visitation Days
It is highly recommended that students interested in transferring to Nazareth Academy High School spend a day shadowing at our school. Currently, we have two dates available in January. Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule a shadow day.

Tuition Information
Once again, due to the changing high school landscape, Nazareth Academy High School is offering an Early Bird Transfer Tuition. Please note: Our early bird tuition rate deadline has been extended. If a student is transferring due to the closing of her high school, she will be offered the current tuition rate for her class until March 2, 2012. In order to qualify for this Early Bird Rate, we must have a completed academic file on hand in the Admissions Office and an interview scheduled. The rate information follows:

Class of 2013: $10,500

Class of 2014: $10,500

Class of 2015: $11,250

After March 2, 2012, the tuition rate will be that of our current incoming class, which is $11,500.

Financial Aid
Nazareth Academy High School offers limited financial aid grants. Please contact the Admissions Office for further information. Please note that if a student has received grants/scholarships through the Archdiocese, they are not transferrable.

Academic Scholarships
Unfortunately, Nazareth Academy High School will not be able to award Academic Scholarships for transferring students as our academic scholarships are based on the results of our 8th grade entrance examination.

For further information on the transfer process, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 215-268-1026.
