Guidance Planner In high school, students explore who they are, where they fit, at what they excel and how to move forward. Because high school is a time of decisions, students should participate in a comprehensive and developmental school counseling program that promotes and enhances the learning process. The purpose of the school counseling program is to impart specific skills and learning opportunities in a pro-active, preventive manner, ensuring all students can achieve school success through academic, career, and personal/social development experiences.
The freshman program focuses on the transition between elementary and secondary levels, adjusting to the Nazareth environment and preliminary career planning and college exploration. Freshman begin a personal "Planning for Life" portfolio, designed to stimulate the self-exploration process as freshman embark on career and college planning. Counselors and students revisit this porfolio each year. |
