8th Graders

The Admissions process sneaks up quickly during the first few months of 8th grade, so we want to make sure you are prepared for what you need to have together. Mark your calendars with the following events and deadlines to make sure you don't miss anything!

SPRING 2023 EVENTS

8th Grade Shadow Days

We invite your daughter to spend a day as a Panda! Shadow Days offer your daughter an opportunity to see a full schedule of classes, have lunch in our Student Dining Room, and get to know our students and faculty. The school day begins at 7:40 AM and concludes at 2:10 PM. Your daughter can shadow a current Nazareth student whom she knows, or we will pair her with a current freshman based on similar academic and extracurricular interests.

Spring Open House

Wednesday, April 26, 2023
Our Spring Open House gives prospective students and parents the opportunity to learn about everything that Nazareth has to offer - academics, athletics, activities, performing arts, and more!

Families will take a tour of the school led by a student ambassador and hear a variety of presentations from our faculty, staff, and administrators.

Pre-registration is required. Tours will last approximately one hour and 30 minutes. When you complete the online registration form, you will be prompted to select a tour time between 5:30 PM and 7 PM. Tour times will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

FALL 2022 EVENTS

Class of 2027 & Transfer Student Information Night

Wednesday, September 14, 2022  |  6:30 PM
Parent(s)/guardian(s) of Class of 2027 applicants and prospective transfer students are invited to attend. Information about our admissions process, academics, and student life as well as an explanation of our financial aid process and how to navigate the financial aid application will be provided. Students are welcome to attend, but the information provided at this event will be geared toward parents/guardians. Pre-registration is closed.
 

Fall Open House

Saturday, October 15, 2022
Our Fall Open House provides prospective parents and students with an opportunity to get to know everything about Nazareth and all we have to offer from academics to athletics and performing arts to traditions. Families will take a tour of the school led by a student ambassador and hear a variety of presentations from our faculty, staff, and administrators.

Pre-registration is required. Tours will last approximately one hour and 30 minutes. When you complete the online registration form, you will be prompted to select a tour time between 9 AM and 11 AM. Tour times will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-registration is closed. Limited walk-up registrations will be accepted for our 9:30, 10, and 10:30 AM tours.
 

High School Placement Test Prep Classes

MATH - Tuesday, October 11, 2022  |  4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
ENGLISH - Tuesday, October 18, 2022  |  4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Students who are registered for our 8th Grade Entrance/Scholarship Exam by Friday, October 7th are able to take our complimentary HSPT (High School Placement Test) Prep Classes in math and English. These sessions will offer review of the respective sections of the Entrance Exam as well as provide some test-taking tips and strategies. Further information will be provided in the email your receive following registering your daughter for our 8th Grade Entrance/Scholarship Exam.
 

7th & 8th Grade Paint Night

Friday, October 28, 2022  |  6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Girls in 7th and 8th grades are invited to a fun-filled evening at Nazareth painting a fall-themed canvas that they can take home with them! The event is free of charge, and pizza and refreshments will be served.

8th Grade Entrance & Scholarship Exam

Saturday, January 7, 2023  |  7:45 AM - 12:00 PM
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a critical tool in the admissions process as we consider candidates for the Class of 2027. Students who are unable to sit for Nazareth's Entrance Exam may choose to take it at another private or Archdiocesan high school in the area and send their scores to Nazareth in order to be considered for admission. Please note, only students who take Nazareth's Entrance Exam are eligible for academic scholarship consideration.
