| Class of 1993 Scholarship Earlier this fall, Sara Campagna Martin '93 rallied her classmates to join forces and raise money for a Class of 1993 scholarship. The original goal was to raise $4,000 for a future Panda to receive $1,000 per year over the course of her four years at Nazareth. During the fundraising, two 1993 alumnae challenged their classmates to surpass their $4,000 goal and raise $5,000 by Thanksgiving. If this goal was met, each of these alumnae would donate a $5,000 match which would total their scholarship to $15,000. On behalf of the Class of 1993, we are proud to announce that the Class of 1993 met this challenge and achieved their goal. The scholarship now totals almost $16,000 and will be awarded to two Future Pandas! Sara and her classmates displayed that there truly is strength in numbers as they met the challenge of raising $5,000 by coming together as a class with many smaller gifts. Sara now challenges all other class years to reach out to one another and decide how you want to make an impact on our Nazareth girls. For information on ways to make your impact, please contact Cecilia Biello, Director of Development, at CBiello@NazarethAcademyHS.org or 215.268.1048. |

IRA Charitable Rollover Opportunity In December 2015, Congress passed H.R. 2029: Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, which made permanent what is popularly known as the IRA charitable rollover.
Under this legislation, if you are 70 ½ and older you can use your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to make a gift directly to your favorite charitable institutions, including Nazareth Academy High School. By making this direct distribution to Nazareth, you will exclude the amount of the gift from your gross income for federal tax purposes. To learn more please click here. |
