Naz-A-Thon was started in 2014 to support one of our school's students who had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and treated at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia just a few years prior. Her friends and peers started the dance marathon to show support, raise awareness, and make a difference. The goal for the first year was $5,000. Today, in just five short years, Naz-a-Thon has raised over $500,000 for the kids. All of theses funds have gone directly to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, specifically benefitting the Child Life Department, the Thyroid Center, the Endocrinology Department, the Neurology Department, the Nephrology Department, and Cancer Research. As the years go on and Naz-a-Thon continues to grow, we pray that the money we raise and the hope we spread will affect and change the lives of children in need.
Here at Naz-A-Thon, we are driven by a single goal: to raise awareness and funds for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We work year-round organizing events and fundraisers, all leading up to our annual 12 hour dance marathon. We dance in support and memory of those who can't. We dance so that one day, they may be able to dance with us. We dance to create miracles and save lives. Most importantly, we dance for the kids.
