Theology III – Sr. Magdalena Tkaczyk
Write a paragraph for each of the following questions:
1. Why did the Nazis decide to kill all clergy and educated people in Poland during II World War?
2. Why did Karol Wojtyla and his friends organize a theater during II World War?
3. Would you say that Novak was a good friend of Karol? (I mean the one who Karol knew from the quarry where they were working together during the war) If, yes, why?
3. How did Father Wojtyla (as teacher of Catholic Morality) explain the presence of evil on earth and the essence of happiness?
4. Please listen carefully to the words and thoughts of John Paul II while he is putting on his white cassock for the first time, right after the election (these words start when we see white smoke and are continued while John Paul puts the pope’s dress on). After meditating on them, please share your thoughts.
After you have answered all of these questions, you are very welcome to conclude with own reflection or spontaneous prayer. Using other resources about John Paul’s life and writings is very encouraged. Please prepare also your own questions about John Paul’s life and teaching, which you would like to ask your classmates. The assignment will be evaluated for a test grade.
Have a very blessed time of vacation! May John Paul whose teaching will be our guidance during coming year – be your patron and inspiration for coming days.
