Young Woman Inventor Scholarship
Online form submission deadline: Friday, November 3, 2023
How to Apply:
- Please complete this online form to apply for the scholarship. The deadline for form submission is Friday, November 3rd by 11:59 PM.
- Students should prepare a presentation of 3 to 5 minutes demonstrating the reasoning which supports the importance/value of their own invention.
- Students do not have to build a prototype of their invention as that is not a part of the judging process. Students should focus on the thought process behind their invention from idea to development and their problem-solving skills.
- The presentation should conclude with the student's persuasive presentation designed to sell her product.
- Students are welcome to provide visual aids such as posters, computer presentations, etc.; however, they are not required.
- The selection committee is not looking for high-level gadgets or effects; instead, the committee is looking for the critical thinking process of the applicant.
- Young Woman Inventor Scholarship presentations will take place at Nazareth on Tuesday, November 7th beginning at 5:30 PM. Students who complete the above form will present their invention to a small panel of faculty and administrators. Students will draw numbers out of a hat to determine presentation order. We ask that a parent/guardian stays at Nazareth until the conclusion of the student's presentation. Students and their parents/guardians are able to leave immediately following their individual presentations. After completing the online form (above), you will receive information closer to November 7th with more details about the presentation.
- Online form submission is required in order to present your invention.
