NAZ Rocketry

The Naz Rocketry Club

Rocketry is a brand new STEM program at Nazareth that provides a fantastic opportunity for students to experience authentic aerospace engineering principles.  The club meets during Activity Period and regularly holds launches on Mondays after school.  The club designs, experiments, and practices year-long in an effort to compete for the national title at the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC).  The TARC is the world's largest student rocket contest and a key piece of the aerospace and defense industry's strategy to build a stronger U.S. workforce in STEM.

Most excitingly, Naz Rocketry has helped sparked the interest of the Nazareth Academy High School students in the engineering field.  Throughout the program, the girls develop skills related to computer analysis, simulation-prediction models, systems-selection and testing, propulsion requirements, constraint analysis, and simplified structural mechanics.
