Director of Admissions

I. General Summary of Position
The Director of Admissions reports to the President and is responsible for implementing all recruitment activities for prospective students and parents. The Director works closely with the Advancement Team, Faculty and Staff. The Director of Admissions is responsible to develop strategic admissions initiatives that support Nazareth Academy High School’s recruitment, enrollment, and retention. The Director of Admissions oversees and directs all aspects of admission and works with the Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee financial aid program for Nazareth Academy High School, one of the premier institutions for secondary education in the Philadelphia area. Under the direction of the School President, the Director of Admissions develops, implements and executes a comprehensive Admissions plan and establishes short and long-range goals and objectives based on the school’s plans.
II. Essential Duties

- Promotes the essential characteristics and fundamental values of the Catholic school; advances a spirit conducive to prayer and study across the school community.
Job Duties:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for interested families pursuing enrollment at Nazareth Academy High School
2. Work closely with the President’s staff and administrative team to develop the Admissions plan to include the preparation of extracted data from the admissions database to present forecasts, trends and strategies for the effective recruitment of elementary school students from Catholic, public and charter schools
3. Develop a comprehensive recruiting schedule including visits to area elementary schools, high school nights, religious education programs, youth ministry programs, etc.
4. Give presentations in a variety of settings and groups (large, small, one-on-one, with and without parents, classrooms) and answering questions on the school from students and parents including all aspects of admissions, tuition assistance and scholarship procedures/policies.
5. Meet with prospective students and families, arranging tours and shadowing programs, and coordinating open houses.
6. Receives and assesses student applications
7. Organizes and maintains financial aid information from current and prospective students.
8. Serve as a member of the Administrative team and participate in Administrative meetings.
9. Serve as Administrative lead for Open Houses, Visitation Days, Scholarship Tests.
10. Utilize and maintain the Admissions module and online application from PowerSchool.
11. Work closely with the faculty and staff to ensure understanding of the school’s Admissions program and engage them in the process.
12. Collaborate with regional/OCE planning and efforts, as appropriate; provide required reports to the OCE; attend meetings and training opportunities throughout the year.
13. Remain current on Admissions best practices. This may include attendance at national professional conferences.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred.

2. Exceptional communication skills.
3. A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, strong work ethic and a willingness to quickly and continuously gain knowledge of the mission of Catholic Education.
4. Strong management and data analysis skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, administration, and support staff members.
5. Experience in data systems, preferably student database systems (preferably PowerSchool), and familiarity with programming and implementation of data in several office environments such as Microsoft Office.
6. A demonstrated commitment to customer service.
7. Must be able to work evenings and weekends to attend on and off campus events
8. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel is also expected as a part of the position.

I. General Summary of Position
The Director of Development is responsible for designing and implementing a fundraising program to attract the maximum support to the institution. The Director will work closely with the development team and volunteers to maximize their potential. The Director reports to the President, partnering with her and working closely with board members and volunteers on fundraising initiatives.
II. Essential Duties

Job Duties
- Engage in all aspects of gift cycle: identify prospective donors; initiate contacts with potential major donors; move potential donors toward solicitation and closure; and maintain stewardship expectations. Conduct prospect research, identify, cultivate and solicit donors for new and increased planned gifts.
- Create and manage an annual giving program designed to cultivate and steward relationships and provide substantial, sustainable support for the institution
- Develop and coordinate all aspects of the major gifts campaign – including a structured action plan for soliciting the school’s major prospects
- Cultivate and solicit for EITC/OSTC program
- Develop a plan to increase alumnae and parental support of, and involvement in, the institution
- Serve as staff support for the Development Committee of the Board
- Oversee a coordinated publications and printing program that will most effectively communicate with our various constituencies
- Develop a complete program of research into and an action plan of solicitation and stewardship of the school's key prospects
- Develop annual development goals in partnership with President and Development Committee
- Support the school and its leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President
III. Qualifications
- Five or more years of successful experience in fundraising; with particular focus on annual fund and major gifts.
- Experience developing and implementing a moves management system is highly desired.
- Demonstrated track record as a self-starter and an action-oriented fundraiser with a sense of urgency in implementing major gift strategies and tactics, who can think creatively and work independently.
- Ability to create strategic major gift plans with clear objectives, goals, tactics and benchmarks.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct multiple programs and activities.
- A Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree or fundraising and/or planned giving certifications a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills; comfortable using data in developing and delivering presentations to major donors, potential donors and the board, and the ability to develop and deliver stewardship reports.
- Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills
- Strong technical skills which include proficiency with Windows, the Microsoft Suite, Raisers’ Edge or comparable constituent/donor database.
- Enthusiasm for frequent travel (both locally and long distance) and willingness to work outside standard business hours is expected.

School Safety and Facilities Clerk - Part Time
Nazareth Academy High School seeks a part time school safety and facilities clerk. Duties include:
- Patrol the building and grounds to identify any potential situations
- Monitor security cameras
- Full campus walkthroughs every two hours, including the checking of all entry points
- Assist with fire and lock down drills
- Assist the staff, police and/or emergency personnel in the handling of emergencies or disruptive situations
- Assist with event setup and breakdown
- Complete work orders as assigned
- Resolve all maintenance and janitorial issues in bathrooms, common areas, classrooms and offices as assigned
- Regular schedule is as follows: Monday through Friday 11:00 - 4:00
- Weekend hours may be needed in order to cover all school events and participate in the emergency on-call rotation

Job Description
Nazareth Academy High School is an all-girls private Catholic college preparatory school. The campus is located in Northeast Philadelphia. The school serves more than 300 students in grades 9-12. It is the only private all-girls high school in Philadelphia and has a reputation as one of the leading academic schools in Pennsylvania.
Nazareth Academy High School is searching for a qualified, energetic individual to take on the role of Women’s Assistant Coach for Cross Country. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Cross Country program. The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to exemplify the highest standards of leadership, sportsmanship and respect. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
