Theology Teacher
Nazareth Academy High School is a Catholic, private, fully-accredited college preparatory school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Theology/Religious Studies and practicing Catholic.
• Pennsylvania State Certification or Master’s Degree preferred

• Works collaboratively with members of the department.
• Planning and Preparation: Plan in advance for daily lessons. Lesson plans shall be kept up-to-date and will contain logically sequenced objectives based on adopted curriculum. Plans will be submitted according to school policies and will utilize best practices in education.
• Instruction: to provide a classroom learning situation which adheres to the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Nazareth Academy High School.
• Student Control and Discipline: to be responsible for the order, attention and well-being of students under your care in the classroom setting.
• Recording and Reporting: to keep daily written records and entering attendance in NAHS online system, and building requirements as they pertain to matter of record keeping. To meet with parents in regularly scheduled conferences and/or whenever necessary to report individual pupil progress.
• Co-Curricular Participation: to participate on a voluntary basis in planning for and supervising cocurricular student activities and functions approved by the school.
• Professional Development: to show evidence of continuous growth in the teaching profession.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Academic Administrative Assistant
The Academic Administrative Assistant performs the year-round clerical tasks associated with the Academic Office; so that the Assistant Principal of Academics can focus on curriculum development, teacher evaluation and coaching, master schedule construction and monitoring of student performance. Reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Academics. A bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in Secondary School teaching is desired. Has a comfort level with MS Office suite, MS Outlook, PowerSchool and PowerScheduler. Compensation is based on academic degree and Secondary School experience.
The specific areas of responsibility are listed, but not limited to:
1. Teach one course each school year.
2. Collects data for the Board’s External Review process.
3. Assembles in a designated area or digital folder all course syllabi and final exams with answer keys and/or alternate assignments.
4. Conducts conferences with all students with a single course deficiency.
5. Records minutes of Academic Council meetings.
6. Facilitates the course selection process and checks adherence to course prerequisites (PowerSchool).
7. Updates the school attendance calendar (PowerSchool).
8. Collects information needed for the Honors Convocation.
9. Serves as the clearinghouse for Course Catalog revisions.
10. Verifies all student selections made in the course selection process.
11. Provides the mechanism which allows parents to approve their daughter’s course selections.
12. Organizes the Course Information Day.
13. Prepares the schedules for the SAT Prep Classes, seeking teachers and encouraging student participation.
14. Enters grades for AVLI courses and Dual Enrollment courses (PowerSchool).
15. Prepares transcripts for students and graduates (PowerSchool).
16. Assists the Principal and the Assistant Principal of Academics in the interviewing and hiring of new faculty.
17. Interviews students with habitual absences with their parents and if necessary, develop a plan for improvement.
18. Monitors academic progress of students who were awarded a scholarship at time of admission. If the established academic criteria are not met, develop an improvement plan containing a warning period before the removal of scholarship is recommended to the principal.

Job Description
Nazareth Academy High School is an all-girls private Catholic college preparatory school. The campus is located in Northeast Philadelphia. The school serves more than 300 students in grades 9-12. It is the only private all-girls high school in Philadelphia and has a reputation as one of the leading academic schools in Pennsylvania.
Nazareth Academy High School is searching for a qualified, energetic individual to take on the role of Women’s Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Volleyball program. The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to exemplify the highest standards of leadership, sportsmanship and respect. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential.
