The Nazareth Fund
Change their world, so they can change ours.
Isabella Lucano ’21
Isabella is a senior from Holy Family Regional Catholic School in Fairless Hills, PA. She is a Music Major with a concentration in voice and also participates in the Drama Club. Isabella’s curiosity and love of reading make science and English her favorite subjects. Nazareth is like an extended family to both her and her sister, Olivia ’23, and has felt that way since she first walked through the doors at Open House. Although different, Isabella has transitioned easily to our hybrid learning model and thinks it is twice as nice that we can safely celebrate all of our traditions with each cohort.
Kristina Perez ’22
A junior from Maternity BVM in Philadelphia, Kristina is a Student Council Representative and a member of the National Honor Society and the Cross Country and Track teams. She enjoys participating in the Italian Club, the Wellness Club, and the All-Inclusive Committee. Kristina also volunteers at a therapeutic riding academy, prepares care packages for the homeless and military, and is teaching herself guitar and piano. Her favorite class is Italian with Signora Murray. Since she first walked up the Chapel steps freshman year, Kristina knew she made the right choice to attend Nazareth. The welcoming community of students, the supportive and encouraging faculty & staff, and the friends & ‘sisters’ she now has – all make for an unforgettable Nazareth experience.
Nitaliya Schaeber ’22
From St. Andrew School in Newtown, PA, Nitaliya is a junior who is very involved in Chorus, Chorale, the Highlights Club, and the Drama Club and takes piano lessons here at school as well. Outside of school, participating in both tap and Irish dancing adds to her busy schedule. Her favorite subject this year is chemistry and she loves Mr. Clark’s history class. Nazareth feels like a second home to Nitaliya, and she is enjoying the hybrid learning model, “alternating a bit more of a ‘chill’ week of online classes with the more hands-on week of in-school classes.
Jenna Garzone ’23
A sophomore from St. Ephrem School in Bensalem, PA, Jenna is an avid three-sport athlete participating in soccer, basketball and lacrosse, and she is also a member of Student Council, Athletes Helping Athletes and Naz-A-Thon. She believes Nazareth adapted well to the hybrid learning model but does prefer being in the classroom for the interaction and communication. Jenna loves being at Nazareth because “it’s a sisterhood and my ‘sisters’ are helping me shape my future.”
Isha Mankar ’23
Isha is a sophomore from Maternity BVM in Philadelphia. She is a leader by nature, serving as Captain of the Sophomore Rocketry Team, President of the Mock Trial Team, and Vice President of the Model United Nations. Isha also plays on the Varsity Tennis team, participates in Chorus and Chorale, and is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She teaches tennis to children in her community, helps coordinate an Earth Day clean-up, and likes to keep up to date on social issues happening in our world. Isha loves being at Nazareth as it truly has become her second home. She believes that Nazareth is raising future leaders to make our world better. Isha loves her Naz sisters and knows the many friendships she has made will last a lifetime.
Madeline Woltjen ’23
Madeline is a legacy sophomore from William Allen Middle School in Moorestown, NJ. Her mom, Christine Kaiser, is a proud 1991 graduate. Madeline keeps very busy with Chorus, Chorale and Mathletes, as well as the Drama, Photography and Art Clubs. She loves being at Nazareth because “there is a sense of community that I didn’t have at my public school. I love the small class sizes and the amazing opportunities.” Madeline has felt very welcomed by the upperclassmen and feels like, “there is something for everyone at Nazareth.” During the pandemic, she has found that sense of community to be helpful and comforting.
Susanna Coyle ’24
From Queen of Angels in Willow Grove, Susanna is a freshman music scholar who is a member of the Orchestra, Jazz Band, Film Club, and Newspaper Club. She also enjoys reading, writing, and photography. A few of her favorite things this year are English class, Freshman Week, and making Christmas decorations before Homeroom. Susanna has found Nazareth to be a welcoming environment where the teachers engage their students, challenge them to do their best, and are always ready to help when needed. Susanna likes that her classmates are driven to learn, and she comes to school every morning knowing that it will be a good day.
