Music Performance Opportunities
All music ensembles are open to interested students throughout the entire school year. Our music performance groups are rich and varied, offering opportunities for beginners and experts alike.

The Chorale requires an audition and the ability to read music.
- Sing a mjaor scale both ascending and descending (without piano); repeat rhythmic and melodic patterns dictated from the piano.
Responsibilities of membership:
- Attend all rehearsals and concerts
- All Chorale members are expected to go to the competition in the spring.
Chorale rehearses Tuesdays from 2:50 to 4:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:50 to 3:30 p.m.
The Chorus members should have some experience with group singing. Music reading is preferred, but not required. This is a group for those who love to sing and want to learn to participate in a choir. No audition is required; however a strong commitment to the group is expected. Singers must attend all rehearsals and concerts. Chorus rehearses Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:10 to 2:40 p.m.
Any musician at NAHS can become an orchestra member. You do not need to be a music major or minor; however, you must know how to play an instrument and have one available. Instruments are available to rent. Lessons on all orchestra instruments are available. Attendance at rehearsals in expected of all students. Orchestra rehearses Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:15 to 7:55 a.m.
The Ensemble features our string players - violins, violas, cellos, and basses along with piano accompaniment. String players are welcomed to participate in the ensemble which performs a repertoire of classical and pop music at school functions. String Ensemble rehearses Wednesdays from 2:35 to 3:15 p.m.
